Communications
Landline telephone communication is provided by British Telecom (Openreach) or Virgin Media (cable). Most streets have Virgin Media cable access.
Providers, other than Virgin, use the BT Openreach infrastructure.
Other cable providers will be available soon.
Electricity
The electricity service infrastructure is controlled by Scottish & Southern Electric. Other suppliers can be used, as with the rest of the UK.

The gas infrastructure is supplied by British Gas. Other suppliers can be used, as with the rest of the UK.

Local Authorities
Fareham Borough Council
Details of the services provided by Fareham Borough Council can be found by clicking here.
Services include collection of refuse from two types of wheelie bin. The bin with the blue lid is for collections made where refuse is recycled. This collection is made once every two weeks. The other bin is emptied weekly. Garden refuse is a separate paid service from a brown-topped wheelie bin which has to be purchased from the council. See the council web site for details.
